Compulzion Label Launch - Cohesive - Follow Me

Hi All!

I've set up my own record label called Compulzion and the first release hits shops on the 8th December, so apologies for such blatant spam but I thought i'd tell you a little more about it! Based in Plymouth in England, Compulzion aim to release trance and techno, with a rather dark influence. Compulzion started life in September 2005 as a basis of promoting various record labels tracks to DJs, Press, Radio and potential licensees. This was followed in 2007 by the first Compulzion event which was an outdoor free party which took place on Harford Moor.

The decision to set up a record label came academically, as whilst studying for my final year of my degree, I decided for my final year project to set up a record label, which releases both on Vinyl, and digital (with all digital releases being sold three months after the Vinyl releases are on sale).

The debut release is from 'Cohesive', and is called Follow Me. Follow Me seemed a fitting first release, as a follow up to 2007's 'Pill Abuse' track (Trance NRG/Hitland), which sold very well and was played by many DJs accross the globe. Follow Me takes influence from releases the likes of which Andrea Montorsi and Luca Antolini were producing. With initial copies given to Kutski (who played the track on Radio 1), Scot Project (who has licensed the track to Pharmacy Volume 6 in Australia), Danny Slade (who gave the track 5/5 in I-DJ Magazine), Dr Willis, Andrea Montorsi and others, the decision to press it up seemed wise given the hype it already has received.

As well as the 'Louk Mix' remixes for Follow Me come from FJ Project and Mike Steventon. FJ's mix caters for fans of the hard acidic trance sound and his remix has grinding 303s and a rather large kick drum that blows the f*ck out of any speaker! His mix has already received early support from Mark EG. Mike's mix caters more for the Hardstyle sound and takes the track on a rather dark route and has received early support from Mic-E.

Here are previews of each mix.

Look out for forthcoming releases and remixes on Compulzion from the likes of Wragg + Log One, Concrete DJz, S.F.M and many more!

Distribution for the track will be handled by Icon Distribution for Vinyl and Label Worx for all digital media.

Thanks once again + I look forward to reading what you think!
