So, Slammin' run the event, but who do they get on board to help bring together all the artists that make up WestFest 2007?
Here's a quick rundown of who's who and what's what at WestFest!
Let's start with One Nation...
It’s 2007 and Drum & Bass is still out there on it’s own as one of the success stories of British dance music. This year’s line-up takes a little bit from every part of this huge underground scene to give you the full-on One Nation experience!
Legends such as Goldie line-up with the acknowledged dancefloor superstars of the 21st century such as Swift & Friction, alongside anthem producer Shy FX and exciting new talents TC & Subfocus. DJ Andy from Brazil will knock you out with his mad turntable trickery whilst his namesake Andy C will show you why he’s known as the guv’nor!
To add to the drum & bass soundtrack we’ve brought all the biggest MC’s here tonight to hype you up and keep things rolling nicely – Skiba, Shabba, Eks, IC….you know the drill, you’re in safe hands with these professionals holding down the MIC.

Hardcore Heaven - The Awards
Tonight will be a “who’s who” of Hardcore as the industry gathers to see who’s going to pick up one of the coveted trophies, as well as watching the top DJ’s and MC’s in the business do what they do best – rock the crowd. Hardcore Heaven come straight from ramming the Hardcore arenas at the Sanctuary Festival and Tranz-mission, and with selling out the Hardcore Weekender and venues like the Opera House and Bristol Academy, there's no-one better placed in the Hardcore scene to bring you best of the best!

Slinky & Frantic!
Slinky: fresh from their headline-grabbing rebirth in 2007!
Frantic: 10 years old and still harder, faster and tougher than the rest!
Together they are the two most exciting Hard Dance promotions in the country, with years of experience, passion and dedication that cannot be matched by anyone! Slinky has returned to the fore this year under the skillful guidance of Amadeus from The Tidy Boys, once again becoming one of the scene’s most respected and best-loved brands. Meanwhile Frantic has made its 10th Anniversary year one to remember – with both Timeless and Tranz-mission showing London that Hard Dance is still alive, kicking, and very much still in demand! Their huge 10th Birthday event with Nukleuz, 10:15, looks set to sell out their spiritual home of KOKO.
After raising the roof with their joint arena at Slammin’ Vinyl’s landmark Sanctuary Festival in June, these two dance music behemoths have come together once again to pull off an even more spectacular, cutting-edge, forward-thinking line-up that will blow your mind! This year Slinky & Frantic take over an even bigger arena than last year’s Hard Dance room at WestFest – double the size!
Headlining we have two of Holland’s biggest Hard music stars – Fausto and Tommy Pulse – going back-to-back for an invigorating mash-up of hard trance, techno and hardstyle like only they know how! Frantic & Slinky’s respective leading ladies Cally Gage and Kym Ayres will also be in full effect, showing why they are two of the hottest new stars of their generation, plus a whole host of the scene’s most popular and exciting performers!

Bionic - Hardstyle!
The mighty Bionic return to Westfest, bringing an international flavour to the show. Spearheading the audio assault in their arena will be some of Europe’s biggest Hardstyle DJ’s, many of them rarely seen in the UK. Artists such as Luna and Activator regularly play in front of 20,000 strong crowds in their home territories so we can be absolutely sure that they know what they’re doing!
We can’t of course forget the home-grown heroes, from the utterly incomparable Mark EG to the Bionic residents Cally & Juice (also making their Main Stage debut), as well as head honchos Brian M & McBunn, rapidly making a name for themselves both in the UK and Europe. Come and see what all the fuss is about….

United Dance - Old Skool!
Take a breather from the blistering sounds of the upfront arenas and drop the pace (just a little bit!) whilst re-visiting some of the music which has been responsible for making the UK rave scene as good as it has been for the last 2 decades. Featuring all-time greats from the golden era of 1992, the very best of the Happy Hardcore years and the jungle and drum & bass dub plates that still sound fresh today, as well as Slipmatt and Bunters’ brand new twist on the classics from days gone by. A must for the true raver.
