but hardcore is at the top of its game at the mo with slammin selling out every indoor event they do for the last couple of years!

I can see y polys have done this, infact a few years ago we used to do Slinky vs Hardcore Heaven and it was constantly rammed

I think its a brilliant idea, not been to a poly's in nearly 3 years since I got into Hardcore, startin to like Hard House a bit more lately so probably be returning more often if this goes over well :)

I reckon this is gonna b a wicked nite, im a hardcore fan, but i went 2 global gathering this year, n i spent most of the weekend at the polysexual stages (outside n in tent), was fuckin unreal!! so 2 have mark h n lisa pinup upstairs n joey riot n gammer downstairs ya cant go wrong!! bring it it!!!!!!! at the end of the day who cares whos on main stage n whos not its all gonna b bangin music with or without mc'in

no never been. still new to the scene only been clubbing just over a year

this years was so hot!!! ask n we 1 who went, my tent was 40 degres inside at 1 point, lol, better that rain n mud tho lol

Was kicking myself for not going, did the same with Gatcrashers only festival i went to this yr was Dance Island :O

was the first global i been 2 n i wasnt dissapointed, all the arenas were really good n well organised. cant wait 2 go again, mark h was wicked outside, n rodi style was insane! 1 of the best sets i ever seen along wit kev energy!!

think global 09 will be on the cards next year, did gatecrasher this year - was really good but I suspect it to be a chav-fest next year as not that many people knew about it this year.

Thats the reason I stopped going to creamfields years ago. Global is getting more like it every year. 2005 was the best year for me at Global.

Anyway back to the point of the thread.....

I'm not sure its altogether a great idea to have hardcore as well as hard house. I am well into my oldskool breakbeat hardcore, that was and still is the fucking nuts. Although happy hardcore is the work of the very lazy. Get a trance or dance tune speed it up so chipmunks are singing it and then get MC scaty mouth, MC shit talker or others to just rant constant uncomprehensible tosh over the music from start to finish. Why? Whats that about?

Skibidy, bibbidy, bobbidy, boo, I come to you from the hardcore crew! than goes into something about his mother but unclear from then on.......

MC's in the old days were there to pick the crowd up when they were fading and would only talk to build the atmosphere and add to the music

The other thing i would say is that you hear of trouble at nights that have hardcore. Normally fueled by the drink of choice Wife Beater.

At the end of the day it wont stop me from attending Poly's as Mark said its only for one night it just means I will be giving this one a miss, as I would rather sand my eyeballs than have to listen to happy hardcore.

I love hardcore and I love hardhouse but every hardcore event ive been to, there seem to be alot of morons causing trouble ruining the night, Hardhouse events always have the best atmosphere, Just hope that aint the case for this one.

I know what you mean, but I think this night will be fine. The trouble makers tend to come to the bigger hardcore nights, and this is quite small really, so I dont think they'll bother.

Also, Air's not the biggest of clubs and the security's quite tight, so I think people wont get away with much in there.
