What a night @ Frenzy!
Well what a night! With the headline guest DJs rested this month, Frenzy decided to let some local female talent take over on the decks whilst letting our ever reliable residents put their feet up.

A couple of Frenzy clubbers

With the doors opening at 10pm, The Showbar soon started to fill-up... so apologies for the couple who had got there at nine and had to wait around for an hour.. that's Cheeky Scott's fault!

Making friends @ Frenzy

The first DJ of the night was Cheltenham-born Jo-Jo who kicked off proceedings off with some classic bouncy tracks from the halycon days of hard house, peaking with Lisa Lashes' Unbelievable.. and it certainly was!

Jo Jo @ Frenzy

The dancefloor was predictably full as everyone in the club made a beeline for the front. What makes Frenzy more than anything else is the atmosphere and Saturday night was no different as many new friends were made.

Some more happy Frenzy clubbers

Next up was our Christchurch representative Shady Lady, who in truth wasn't that shady.. more bright and breezy. She continued the bouncy theme for half an hour, changing tempo up until midnight with some hoover-laden hard house anthems.

Our next girl up on the decks was the highly anticipated Madam Filth. those who know Andrea will be aware she's not really DJ'ed since the infamous Club X and Enzos closed their doors a few years ago.. so she was understandably a little nervous. However, she played possibly the set of the night with a faultless hour of mixing, taker things that little bit harder.

Madam Filth @ Frenzy

The final hour and a half saw a female back to back DJ duo who looked suspiciously like Frenzy residents Cheeky Scott and Big Al Medino. Although these 'ladies' weren't the most attractive we've ever seen, they certainly knew what to play as their set was typical Frenzy-style hard house party tracks. This was typified by Big Al's signature tune 9 Bar by OD404.

Cheeky Scott & Big Al Medino @ Frenzy

The last track of the night was a Frenzy favourite, I Don't Care by Tony De Vit, which seemed to be a fitting finale to the evening given the care-free vibe of the Showbar on the night.

If anything the night really did prove that "Girls Are Loud".

Yeh mate, I was chatting to a fella in the Showbar and he said that a few guys he knew couldn't get in because of ID issues. I wonder if that was your mates?

It was a fantastic night.. best yet.

Dunno, doubt it! I got to the door about 1030/11ish and 2 guys in front of me who looked about 25/27 didn't get in, then they went off and asked me & my mate for ID (I'm alright, always got my licence on me!) but he didn't so they wouldn't let him in..

Thanks for the kind comments Tidytwin2. We should be doing another one in November, so will put the details up as soon as they're confirmed.

It's likely that the November date will be the last ever at The Showbar.. but I will confirm this as soon as I know.

i would also like to say oh my god what a brilliant night!!!

i moved to bournemouth nearly a month ago now (uni) and have been wondering where to go out appart from the opera house for slinky nights. ont he way to the old firestation i saw a poster for this and as soon as i saw the word hardhouse that was it, i decided i was going to be there. and how glad am i that i went?!?!

bouncy hard house all evening, even on only 2 hours sleep i kept going from about half 10 till half 2 when i left!

i also agree with some comments being made about this night being better than slinky the pervious night, frenzy certainly made up for my dissapointment with eddie halliwell.

is also like to comment on the atmosphere at the showbar, its lovely, people are friendly, but not too frienly in a creepy way! lol

i had such a good time and huge fingers corssed i'll be at the next one
