If you haven't been following the rise and rise of Cool House over its three year reign of Cardiff's club and bar scene then you've been missing out on what can only be described as a phenomenon.

Cool House has come a long way since its humble beginnings in Las Iguanas, now gaining national plaudits and recognition and attracting the finest UK and international DJs to appreciative crowds every month.

The list of recent guests reads like a who's who of house music - Cool House gained a UK exclusive when Deep Dish flew over in February; a night of acid house mayhem from Josh Wink in April; and countless other memorable sets from the likes of Layo & Bushwacka!, SLAM, Peace Division, Omid 16B, and Cool House favourite Nic Fanciulli.

After the unfortunate demise of former venue the Emporium, Cool House has moved onwards and upwards, finding a new home in venues including Solus and the Great Hall (Cardiff Students' Union) and the Coal Exchange.

The popularity of the night hasn't gone unnoticed - this year's Welsh Music Awards were testimony to the hard work and dedication of promoters Damon Williams and Dave Mills, who scooped silverware for Best Dance Night in Wales and Mills' personal triumph, Best DJ (in addition to CH resident Matt Joy's gong in 2004 for 'Best Up-and-coming DJ'). On a national scale, Cool House came a close runner-up in Pete Tong's 'House Rules' for best night in the UK - well, there's got to be something left to win next year!

More than just a local success story, Cool House now brings enthusiastic clubbers from across the UK to its events - some for the music, some for the unique atmosphere everyone for a good time!

Forget Miami, for upfront house music and a no-holds-barred party get down to Cardiff and be a part of Cool House.

Ah remember those cold cold thursday nights, all good fun though. This night is sure to rock. Cool House has been one of my favourite nights since way back when, so its wicked to have them on board to help us celebrate our 1st Birthday.
