The Electroquisite 2007 'Neon Series' reaches the midway point on Saturday 9th June when we return to the subterranean surrounds of Bristol's best underground venue Timbuk2 for what is set to be our biggest event to date....
With 4 unforgettable parties behind us, we proceed with the 5th of 10 colour-coded events throughout 2007, showcasing some of the most exciting, influential & talked about Dj's, artists & producers from across the Globe.
For this next event of the series, PINK, it gives us unmeasureable pleasure to welcome to Bristol for the very first time a man accredited with being one of the most exceptionally gifted producers in the world today... SEBASTIEN LEGER (Mistakes Music).
SEBASTIEN LEGER.... (With an 'e') - MINI BIOGRAPHY
One of the most outstanding artists in the recent electronic music business, and an exceptionally gifted producer who is operating far beyond all the French filter house clichés, Sebastien is the musician setting the benchmark for most others in the house music world.
Over the following years Sébastien was releasing more than 30 records on many international labels, building his worldwide reputation and contributing an essential element to its musical evolution. Working for Black Jack gave Sébastien the chance to meet many prestigious artists of Chicago House. He learned a lot from them but his aim was to innovate and not imitate. As always in his long musical career he kept the faith to pushing the boundaries ahead.
A discography jam packed with adorable releases including "Pickadoll 17", "Take Your Pills", "Hit Girl", "Bad Clock" & "Hypnotized", not to mention his recent collaboration with friend & fellow A-list artist Chris Lake for the nothing short of huge "Mistakes EP", have placed him amongst the world's biggest production artists.
Likewise, Sébastien now regarded as one of the world´s most in-demand remixers, working for artists likes of Eric Prydz, Armand Van Helden, Justin Timberlake and Jakatta, for massive labels such as Defected, Josh Wink's 'Ovum' or Carl Cox's 'Intec' to name just a few; a testiment to the diversity of his work.
Indeed, it is the consequent progression in his production work, and the great variety of house music colours in his tracks, as well the construction and arrangement of the electro and funky rhythms; all these ingredients have helped to establish his position at the forefront of reconstructing contemporary electronic music....
.. all this has resulted in acclaim & appreciation for Sebastien from everywhere; Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, the US, France and the Netherlands; yet, despite this, Sébastien Léger is only at the beginning of conquering the electronic music world, giving his audience the chance to dive into the great electro bath....
.. and first and foremost, on June 9th, the people of Bristol, for the very first time!!!
Joining Sebastien in Room 1 will be Electroquisite residents WILL BAILEY, ALEX CLARK & LUKE LANGSON, together with CLINTON BROWN.
Room 2 provides some funky variation, courtesy of 2nd room residents TOM & RICH BROWN and ANDY KELLY, who are joined by local guests TOM BRUTON & DANNY NOBLE, ensuring that no matter your preference, there's somehting to suit all...
Remember people... Sebastien... with an 'E'... don't forget it!
This truly will be an unmissable event people.... One of the finest production artists and remixers on the planet.... reverred by the likes of Eric Prydz, Chris Lake, Funk D'Void, John Dahlback and many more of the best in the business... coming to Bristol for the very first time, in the intimate surrounds of Timbuk2, giving you the chance to see him up close & personal...

2007 NEON SERIES UPDATE
Wow!!! What a year it's been so far....! It's fair to say that we've been blown away. Every event has exceeded expectations, and when you couldn't see it getting any better, Booooooom!! It does!! And then some!!!
Why....???? Loads of reasons.... THE MUSIC, beautifully put together by some of the best guests you'll see, accompanied by some of the best residents you'll find... anywhere! THE CLUB... Timbuk2 is Bristol's best underground venue! FACT!!! So what if you've been going there a lot over the last few years... it still kicks the ass of most, if not all other venues in the city!! Most of all though... THE CROWD!!! Amazing.... the people have been just incredible!! The atmosphere at all events has been out of this world... that's down to the crowd... and like we say, it keeps getting better!!!
The series got under in February when Dave Robertson of Club-Class nu-breed talent agency 'Futurism' treated us to beatuifully crafted part live, part DJ set filled to the brim with rolling builds and heavy drops...
In March, one of the original pioneers of the Electro-house revolution, Tom Neville, came back to Bristol to make his debut at Timbuk2... and as could be expected, he blew the roof off the a signature set of warped electro cuts & tech-tinged re-edits...
April brought one of the UK's fastest emerging stars to Bristol... Toolroom & new Ministry of Sound resident Richard Dinsdale... and with him came his unique brand of dirty house & heavy bass, which did not disappoint... incredible
and most recently, earlier this month, Swiss prodigy Danny Freakazoid of Cr2 flew in from Zurich to smash the ass out of the Timbuk2 main tunnel with a truly inventive display behind the decks, and a set packed full of his own spine-tingling productions & remixes...
So where do we go from here....?
Well, in July we prsent a very special Ashton Court follow-on featuring one of 2007's biggest discoveries... Young French star Arno Cost, the man behind the industry-wide acclaimed hit 'Magenta', flies in from Paris for his first UK performance.... this promises to be very special indeed!
August is a bit of a beast.... all we can say at this stage is this guest is undoubtably the World's biggest house star of the last 12 months.... details to follow soon...
September sees a welcome return to Bristol for one of the progressive house scenes youngest stars, whose admirers include the likes of Sasha, John Digweed & Steve Lawler.... Special guest Luke Dzierzek (Fling Music)
In October we celebrate our 2nd Birthday with a quite astronomical event... details to be announced nearer the time... but trust us, this is HUGE!
And finally, in November the series comes to a close with a headline set from Stompaphunk main man Serge Santiago, fresh from his Summer resdidency at the inaugral 'We Love Sundays' events at Space, Ibiza....
Wow!!!
but first up it's Sebastien Leger on June 9th, making his Bristol debut... and for those of you who don't know what to expect, take a gander at this bad boy....
SEBASTIEN... with an E!!!
See you on the floor people!
