Music : Electro, Big Beat, Breaks, Hip Hop and Dubstep
Its almost here, Fracture clinic are launching this Friday at Timbuk2 with special guests BAOBINGA AND ID.
It’s our first night and we intend to start as we mean to go on, this is a new night for Bristol and we want to offer something a bit different to the stereotypical clubbing experience.
Its going to be an opening night to remember, not only are we proud to present the blinding DJ duo that is Baobinga and ID, other guests and our solid residents, but we want to create a real party atmosphere you wont forget.
Its almost festival time and Fracture Clinic want to kick things off by trying our hardest to capture some of those essential festival vibes down in the sleazy cellars of Timbuk2, well, without the mud and those nice warm cans that everyone loves to drink at festivals for some reason.
There’s going to be fire spinners and jugglers on Small Street until midnight, UV spinners, dancers, visuals and festi décor down in the club.
We don’t care how smartly dressed you are, how cool your haircut is or how well you can nod your head at the back of the dance floor, we want you to have as much fun as possible, with the best sound track possible to the nights antics..
And what a soundtrack we have.
Baobinga and ID have been unavoidable in dance music over the last year, this is an act that evolved into something so much more than your run of the mill breaks act.
Their productions and DJ sets take everything in from the finer aspects of breaks, techno, grime, dubstep, house and even Baltimore club. Their electrifying DJ sets never fails in getting any crowd jumping as anyone who caught them smashing the granny out of the Glade festival last year with easily the set of the entire festival. Also their debut long player ‘Big Monster’ has finally been released this week through Fat Recordings after the disastrous distribution problems that plagued the scene at the tail end of 2007. So yet another reason to celebrate at Fracture Clinic’s opening party.
Taking inspiration from our headliners we want the rest of the music as varied as possible too. In Room 2 we will have the wicked turntable skills of the Odd Dog, with the speaker rattling dubstep provided by Amentaltiy and resident Spooks.
In room 1, backing our stellar headliners; well have Kez providing the perfect start to the night with some classic breaks and Bazooka resident Hindsight playing more up front beats. Not forgetting our residents Shaun Phillips and DJ Sharkz. With Shaun playing some messy electro and house and Sharkz playing his brand of dirty no holds barred breaks.
Fracture Clinic really wants to get off to the best possible start and were hoping that the atmosphere were aiming to create combined with our perfect first guests is the winning formula for a night to remember.
Get down to Timbuk2 on Friday to witness it for yourself, its truly going to go off…….
