If you've been on a desert island or your not into the welsh hard dance scene you will not know that there hasn't been a Bionic Since Febuary 1st 2008 Due to the Venue they were @ Closeing & If you into the scene you'll know all about Evolution Cardiff Closeing it's doors & turning it's back on not just Bionic but the whole of the welsh scene so im not gunna go into detail about all that except just to say Evolution the Venue it's self didn't turn it's back No!! Because it's a building ie bricks & mortar No!! it was the Management / Oweners Who Pissed away the Only Premier Purpose Built Dance Club In Cardiif & maybe evan wales it's self!!?? The Venue had allways had some form of hard dance in there, but apparentally the guys in charge there now are gunna turn it into a cheese venue as posted in there Massive Statement about a month ago they said. Great just what we need a Cheese Joint lol ;p

Oh my i did waffle a bit then didn't i lol ;p

And now to the Night In Question Bionic's 1st Official Event In Newport @ The Cotton Club.

As previouslly said above there aint been a Bionic Since Febuary ie 2 months ago, and yes it was to long inbetween events but that was down to evo-cardiff tha Cunt!! Anyway evan though it was too long bewtween events it didn't actually seem that long because Time Has Flown By Since Febuary to April & the years Flying by in General aswell like!! ;p

Me & Sam got to the Cotton Club @ Roughlly 9.30pm ish and spent the 1st 30 minutes of the night between the funkt room where Mogze was playing and room 2 where Dai Kaos Was playing & boath sets sounded good.

Room 2. 10 - 11. Bally & Ryhs Williams.

I've never seen Ryhs play before but i've seen Bally play a few times & have allways been impressed with his mixing & scratching & tonight was no exception, because the boath played a blinder of a set with highlights for me in the form of Blutonium Boys - Hard Style Instructor 2007 & Donkey Rollers - No One Can Stop Us TUNES! Top set Guys Nice 1 :)

11 - 12. Frisky.

She kicked of a Wicked set with a remix of Benny Benassi - Satisfaction :) , Played a new Mix of The Sugar Daddy Set Me Free Track (my tune id is slightlly of @ the mo but i think it may be a remix of CJ Bolland!!??) She dropped her track which features a bit of the Martin Luthor King Famous Speech, Free @ Last Thank God Allmighty We Are Free @ Last.

12 - 1. Brian M Vs. Mcbunn.

Kicked of with there mix of DJ Jean - The Launch, what a remix Tune! Espically last night as Bunn messed about with the CDJ In the way he does that is cool :) They allso played there new remix of Tiesto - Lethal Indusrty Tune! Played a shit load of new stuff which i aint heard before so could be there tracks / remixs of other artist's i dunno, but i do know that they droped the DJ Neo Booty - With the Picotto - Lizard Sample in that allso goes In My House Tune! Top Set As Usual :)

1 - 2. Andy Whitby.

Caught half of his set & you may know or not!!?? That i aint a huge fan of him ie mainlly because he plays old old hard house but new bounchy mix's of them. But he kicked of with a Bounchy Remix of Showtek - Fts, so of course i had to stay on the dance floor for that one because i like that track a lot & then i proceded to stay there for like half the set because he played the Prodigy :) that bootleg thingy that he plays with many Prodigy Tracks in. So yea i was surprised that half the set i heard him play i like!!

Then on the 2nd half of his set i went out side for a cool down because it was boiling in there, and i had a chat with Sam, Tink & Hyper, & Me & Tink were talking about Clubs, i said i never got the chance to go to the Emporium & She said like every one i've spoken to about it that it was a Wicked Club, then she said You Know The Cotton Club is the clooset club that was like it. ( You said put me saying that in your review, so i did ;p)

2 - 3. Cally & Juice.

Missed the 1st few tracks of there set as was still outside, so i dunno wheather or not they kicked of with that track ive seen them kick of with latelly the Resitence is Futile Let's Rock One Tune!

3 - 3.20. (Due to M-Zone Running Late) Cally & Juice.

Yes yes yes Yes, a 20 minute extra helping of tunes from the Welsh Back 2 Back Duo. In there 80 minute set :) They played a blinder of a set which included tracks like, Destination Unknown, Tarrantula, Injected With A Poison, & loads more in a top set, the set must have been evan better than i thought, because a rare sight was seen @ Bionic During this Set as Brian M & Sat Nav Were Boath Stomping it down & Gavin was in the dance floor for most of the night anyway which again is rare!! ;p Well done dudes :) & oh Yea it was a top set aswell :)

3.20 - 4. M-Zone.

Another DJ i aint a fan of is M-Zone, so i went for a walk & Chat then around the club & then caught the very tail end of his set & it wernt bad @ all.

Of The Course The Night Was Hosted By Shocker. Top Host :)

I dunno wheather it was knowing that instead of cloesing @6 The Cotton Closed @4 but it seemed the whole night was over to kick ie, the Time Just Flew by 9.30 - 4. & It was a top night as usual because it's Bionic :)

Before i finish My Review id just like to say that The Cotton Club Was rammed last night, the 1st time i've ever seen it like that because of Course Bionic Can pull a crowd because Bionic Rocks :) but there was a few faces that you allways see in Bionic that wernt there last night, they may have good reason's i dunno but i've heard that a few people didn't go because it was in Newport or Perhaps The Cotton Club i dunno!!?? Well let me just say that im not a fan of the Cotton Club & it'll probally never be up there in my top 5 list of fave clubs where Evolution Is My all time Fave Club, what im saying is this it's not the Venue that makes a good night ok it goes some way i suppose yea, but 99% is down to the event that makes a good night, because let's face it Bionic could be held in a cow shed with cows still in there & you'd still have a wicked night Because it's Bionic :) So all the people that didn't show up for the April Event because they thought something like hmmm it aint in Evolution so i wont go. like What!!?? I mean get a grip & Get to the Next Bionic Event @ The Cotton Club Newport On the 2nd of May 2008 Ok Safe :)

no not at all, Emporium was the best club i've ever been to in my life, it was more underground than the Cotton Club is really like. Bionic needs to be in a superclub, the small venues just won't cut it, If i love an event i'll go to whatever club it's in cos it's not the surroundings that bother me so much although they make a hell of a difference to the atmosphere...how come you didnt go lovely?

Cheers for the review Bazza. I spent most my night in the Phunkt room where Estee, Mog-ze, Lanie and Al were on fire, but fucking NuSense blew me away again. Hell of a set.

When I ventured downstairs, Adam was on fucking fire crabbing and tekno tom was getting right amounsgt it.

Went into the main room twice, it was too busy..
