Far Too Loud to headline F(r)action Christmas Party in Southampton

Far Too Loud will be bringing their unique blend of hard-hitting breakbeats, dirty thumping electro and twisted psychedelic sound design to Southampton this December by headlining F(r)action – Southampton’s only regular Breaks and Psy-Trance event.

Far Too Loud have been turning heads and rocking dancefloors across the world, gaining critical acclaim including numerous tune-of-the-month awards in major dance music publications and the Breakspoll 2007 award for "best single". The duo enjoy a busy international gig schedule, delivering energetic DJ sets and intelligent Ableton Live performances of their own material.

F(r)action returns on the 5th December 2008 to celebrate Christmas early, so come along to get yourselves feeling festive with the help of some amazing DJs. To help us with the celebrations we're very proud to announce that, alongside our headliners FAR TOO LOUD, we've got:

EPHEXIS - Live set

Ephexis started writing music together in 2001. Fired by their passion for pushing the boundaries of freeform dance music, they have spent an extensive amount of time in studios creating and refining their unmistakable sound, whilst developing the live PA. They have been showcasing their explosive live show around the world, rocking massive crowds in London, Finland and Australia, with an overwhelming response.

RMS – F(r)action creators and hosts

Jonno & Martyn got together in 2005 when they realized that although their styles were different, there was certain chemistry when behind the decks together. Mart came from the Drum & Bass background, where he had DJ’d in the mid to late nineties, and Jonno had come from the acid techno / trance scene. The love of breaks by both of them fused the partnership, which consists of rolling Basslines, with acid fused squelches.
The RMS boys have played in clubs all over the country, at major UK festivals including Waveform and Antiworld - and their club nights continue to grow in popularity across the South Coast.

With a track release due out on Unstable Label, the boys are going from strength to strength. “Love Stick” produced with m0del101, has been greatly received whenever played out, and the Far Too Loud remix on the flip is an absolute dancefloor destroyer!! With collaborations with Adam and Alex from Ephexis in the pipeline, 2009 is set to be a year to watch out for RMS.

BUBAKING

The breakbeat equivalent of little and large. Djing alongside high profile acts including Freddy Fresh, Coldcut, Freq Nasty, Stanton Warriors and the Plump DJs to name a few, The duo have built up an infamous reputation (and fanbase) for tearing the house down throughout London, Brighton, Southampton and their Bournemouth Hometown. Their debut Mix CD Cake Mix was regarded as many as an essential must have item, its downloads alone reaching over 3000 hits and has touched all corners of the globe, not to mention the copious amounts forced fed to the breakbeat community. Their Future is set to be equally rewarding as their studio skills are also being picked up by those in the know. The duo, already responsible for numerous cheeky booties of Gay Bar, Trumpton, Tori Amos and even KC & the Sunshine band, have a plenty more tricks up their sleeves People watch out, they are no warm-up act!

The event will be taking place at Oasis Bar, High Street, Southampton, so this will be a rare opportunity to catch these amazing acts in such an intimate venue.

Tickets are LIMTED to 120 ONLY on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis so please get in touch with us ASAP. This is the first time the event has been ticketed and this is to reflect the amazing-ness of the acts. Tickets are still, however, a ridiculously reasonable £5!!
