Deuce presents Satanic Sundays the review
Is Worcester ready for an event like Satanic Sundays? Judging by the turn out we’d say it is. The Deuce Soundsystem was set up in the covered courtyard of The Kings Head. Doors opened at 2pm and the sun was shining, again. Initially people were slow to arrive and nervous glances flashed between Adam, Mogs and the Kings Head management. Fortunately those nerves were unfounded and by 4pm the slow trickle of revellers started to turn into a deluge. This deluge was followed up by another from the heavens. Yes the dreaded rain came down around about 8pm. Did anyone care? Not one bit. The party people bunched together beneath the covered space and the atmosphere built like a sky scraper.

Cheeko, original Deuce resident Joe Hughes and Paul E got the party started moving from funky vocal house into a more progressive chunky electro style of house and then a darker, faster dirtier sound as the darkness fell.

The rain subsided and with the chiminea’s lit no one was getting cold. Next up we had Holloway, Trixta, Dan Appleton, Tomas Rubeck and the man himself – Mogs. The tunes were kept on a minimal, subterranean electronica tip and the heaving dance floor lapped up every bleep and beat. The smiles on the faces and the cheers as the final record wound down told Adam & Mogs that it was a job well done. “When’s the next one” was the question on everyone’s lips. "Watch this space" they were told.
